Drawing II is focusing on Pastels for their in-class assignments and color pencils for their homework. We are experimenting with different techniques to see how charcoal works, comparing what it looks like when we put pastels on just white paper opposed to on top of the charcoal. It is a study assignment so we are able to incorporate many interesting ideas like cut paper, sewn paper, finished shaded charcoal or a simple line composition.
