As we entered into Downtown Elyria our main goal was to focus on perspective and the accuracy, not necessarily the shading. Perspective can be taught in the classroom using a box (which is something we do), but the fun comes from getting out into the field and drawing old buildings... something with character. The assignment was to select a building and determine it's vanishing point. 

Some people were able to get some shading done, and some were focused on getting the structure more correct. I like the focus in each of these drawings. These examples show a range of composition from "simple" to more complex.
